The Case

Chapter 1/Part. 1

“The Case Is Closed,” yelled Bruno! Bruno is my partner at work at the Fand Detective Agency and we have been working on the case of the Unknown Masked Singer. We caught a man that was charged as guilty but deep down I had a feeling that the bad guy was still out there. As I flipped on the box (or television), I saw a news bulletin of a shooting in nearby theatre. At least fifty dead. They did not release his name, but I had a deep feeling that man and killer is still out there.

After watching the box for the next couple minutes, I looked upon the wall of the office and the clock blinked the time as 6:59 am. I knew my shift at the agency was over and I had to head off home. As I got into my car I kept thinking about the Masked Singer and if he was still out there. I knew I was overthinking this and I was drained from work, but I could not get this crook out of my head. As I got home to my empty house, I decided not to turn on the box (television) and just try to get a couple of hours of rest.

Deep down I knew there was something I was missing but what?

I knew I had to figure this out……

After getting up, I woke up hearing my neighbor yelling through the walls. I wonder what It was this time. I had to keep it in mind, it wasn’t my problem. I flipped open my laptop to check my emails like I do every morning, but what I saw I almost couldn’t comprehend. It stated,

“To whom it may concern,

          You were right. I am still on the loose and I won’t stop these killings till I get what I want. Don’t bother trying to trace this email as it will be deleted immediately. I want to wish you good luck trying to find me cause deep down I know I will never be caught. I decided to email you and give you hints as to where my next killings will be. Look out for my future emails and if you tell anyone including the police about these emails you will be my next victim”. Don’t try me.

I could not believe it, what did I get myself into this time? I needed to keep quiet about this and I needed to solve this at the same time…
