The Case

Chapter 7

The door was locked shut. I could hear blood screaming cries of a women on the other side, I could tell she was with a child as I heard him sobbing uncontrollably. As much as I tried to open the door, it stayed shut. I could only imagine and picture what had occurred. The room I was currently in was plain white and black, and I could hear an ominous noise that sounded like heavy breathing. I was shocked and terrified of what this meant.

I closed my eyes and placed my hands over my face.

But when I opened my eyes, I had woken up in my bed. The anxiety and fear of this case must be getting to me psychologically and subconsciously….

The clock on my bedside table showed that it was 4:45 am. I knew I had to be at the office in a couple of hours, but maybe I should call out of work today so I can research more on The Masked Singer and see if I can figure out who he or she is. I knew it was too early to really be searching into this, but I was anxious to find security and safety figuring this case out. Deep down, I knew I was in danger.

I knew I was not going back to bed, so I decided to put on some jazz to calm my nerves and start a pot of coffee. Jazz and classical music always seem to lift my spirits. Sipping on my hazelnut coffee, I turned on my laptop and immediately opened my email. I saw another email from an unknown sender and in the subject, it said this is MS. I could feel my heart beating in my chest as I felt sweat dripping from my forehead.

He was tracking and following me…
