The Story pt.18

The next couple of days everything seemed normal, no unusual news on the radio and police scanner. Which kept me anxious and unclear what was really going on. This free time though did give me more time to write and do some more upgrades to my suit. I now successfully created a ray gun within my suit to fire at the enemies, which I think was a big accomplishment.

It was nearing 5 pm this Wednesday, I was getting ready to relax and put on the tv when i heard on my pocket radio Terror at the Bronxx News Station civilian deaths and injuries reported. Inside, I was terrified about what must’ve been going on, but I knew i had to be of assistance. As quickly as I could I grabbed my suit and clothes and I flew as fast as i could to the nearby city to see if I could help.

When I flew over the city I could see smoke filling the air and chaos happening down below. I knew I had to first fly to the news station and examine the destruction and see if I could make sense of it all. When I was close to the location I could overhear a conversation between two men saying their ultimate plan which was to bomb the city, kidnap the mayor. and to make them pay. I wasn’t completely sure what to do with this new information, but I knew I had to keep hidden for the time being.

The deep voiced figure continued talking about their plan to set bombs in the underground railway and to hit the undeserved city where they never expected it. He continued saying that they would pay the ultimate price for doubting The Midnight Squad.  Then I couldn’t hear nor understand what he said next. 

I knew I had to tell someone of their plot but I was still in shock, maybe I had to first go to the police and tell them what I had witnessed and heard. 

But then I heard a big explosion….
